A few weekends ago, I had the wonderful opportunity to join my friend, Lauren of Bohemian by the Bay, for a fun weekend staycation at The Redondo Beach Hotel. It’s a modern hotel with a beachy vibe, right in the heart of the South Bay. Like Lauren, since moving here a year ago from West LA, I haven’t been able to explore too much, so this little staycation provided that perfect opportunity.
I’m all about comfort whenever possible and these “mom” jeans fit the bill perfectly. I’m now about 4 weeks postpartum and 15ish pounds away from my pre-baby weight and these jeans are perfect for that in between size. With my first pregnancy, I never wanted to spend too much money on clothes that were in between my sizes, but it actually took me almost 2 years to finally get back to my pre-pregnancy weight (granted, I wasn’t exercising regularly ;)). This time around, I purchased a few more “investment” postpartum pieces, because I know that I’ll likely wear it for longer than I think, plus I can pass it on to another mama friend (or keep it for myself for baby #3)!
Everyone needs a basic white button-up in their wardrobe, weather you work in a professional office or are a stay at home mom (or a working from home mom, like me). It’s a closet staple that goes with everything and instantly elevates every day looks.

Last Saturday, Riley and I met up with some friends to shoot at the famous Love Wall in Los Angeles. It was the day before Valentine’s day, so it was fun to see other couples lined up to take photos in front of the wall in their cute V-day looks.
I was so surprised that Riley didn’t immediately take off her little hair bow and sunglasses, which she usually does! But how cute is she, with her little romper! The top that I’m wearing is from Free People and I’m wearing a denim skirt underneath to wear it as a dress. It’ll also look great in skinnies.
Hope you enjoy these photos! xx

Last Thursday, my good friend, Hannah, and I did a ‘Brushes and Bites’ workshop at Paint:Lab in Santa Monica. I had purchased some vouchers on Travel Zoo as a Christmas present – there are still some available here!
We’re both not that artistic (sorry, Hannah!), but we had so much fun on our moms date night, sipping on wine and catching up on life. There were some pretty talented people in our group, but looking back at the photo of our paintings, I think we did pretty well! I would definitely recommend getting together with a friend and doing a little paint and sip night.
